Drink Delights

Rounding out your outdoor dining with one of San Francisco’s favorite signature cocktails is a surefire way to make your Eagle Cafe meal exceptional. We highly recommend our Eagle Bloody Mary with our special house-made mix and pickled veggies, and our Eagle Cafe House Lager is another top favorite. Whatever you choose to drink, cheers to a great meal at Eagle Cafe!

Our Rich History

Eagle Cafe’s storied past adds a layer of charm that few establishments can rival. Originally opened in 1928 at Embarcadero and Powell, we built our reputation by serving tasty, affordable meals to longshoremen and military personnel. In 1978, Eagle Cafe was moved to its current location on Pier 39.

A Big Move

While developing Pier 39, Warren Simmons knew Eagle Cafe should be a key feature of this new city attraction. With careful planning and hard-fought approval, the restaurant was put on jacks and wheeled to the iconic spot in which it sits to this day. So although it wasn’t always known for its outdoor dining, this San Francisco landmark has been a local treasure in one spot or another for almost 100 years.

Easy Access

Being situated on Pier 39 makes Eagle Cafe easily accessible to both locals and tourists. Popular attractions like Ghirardelli Square and the cable cars are located nearby, and rideshare drop-offs are convenient. We also offer one-hour parking validation so our guests can enjoy our outdoor dining, delicious seafood, and gorgeous views without struggling to find parking.
