Incredible History
Founded in 1928, Eagle Cafe was so rooted in San Francisco history that developer Warren Simmons considered it a must for his new Pier 39 project. He convinced the owners to put it on jacks and wheel it from its original Embarcadero location to its now-iconic home on the Bay.
Today, Simmon’s grandchildren are the proud owners and operators of this historic restaurant, connecting the family and the cafe for generations to Pier 39 while serving delicious breakfast, burgers, and brunch.
