Heads up wine and cocktail lovers – we are excited to introduce our Beverage Director, Certified Sommelier and Mixologist, Nusan Brounstein.
Nusan began working for Simco Restaurants as a Bartender in 2004 and held positions including Bartender at Wipeout Bar & Grill and Bar Manager at Pier Market Seafood Restaurant. Honing in on his wine and spirits knowledge, Nusan impressively completed his Level 3 Diploma through The International Sommelier Guild in 2011.
Following his certification, Nusan transitioned to Fog Harbor Fish House as Manager/Sommelier to utilize his expertise to expand and manage the wine list. Due to his extensive knowledge of the beverage industry and fantastic work in all three Simco Restaurants, Simco is thrilled to announce Nusan as the company-wide Beverage Director.
Nusan has been known to muddle anything from cilantro to bell peppers to create a delicious, unique and memorable cocktail experience. His personal favorite cocktail is the Fog Harbor Manhattan made with Bulleit rye, sweet vermouth, orange bitters, orange peel, and maraschino liqueur.
This season, be on the lookout for delicious drinks like pumpkin pie-tinis, gingerbread cookie cocktails, and candy canes served with after dinner beverages. Nusan looks forward to regularly refreshing the beverage menus at Fog Harbor, Pier Market and Wipeout Bar & Grill with diverse wine options and seasonal drink specials made with fresh, local ingredients.
